What is it?
A gift shop, cafe and pop-up artists' gallery
Where is it?
The Silverdale Peninsula
Why is it recommended?
It's a great place to go for an all-day breakfast or coffee and cake, or a hearty soup or omelette. The couple who run the cafe moved here from the Rose Bakery, Paris. There's a great little playground outside for children, and the shop is full of gorgeous gifts. Janice McGloine's art studio is worth a visit and they also have pop-up artist shops.
My little boy loves playing with the toys they have in the cafe and is always keen to go there.
The service is great, all on lovely vintage-style enamel plates and bowls, and with a wood burner in the background creating a lovely welcoming glow.
It can get quite busy in the winter because there are only 12 tables - but in the summer there's outside seating.
Cakes and food all freshly prepared every day.
