Field of Dreams

Field of Dreams

What is it?

Famously one of the largest collections of annual wildflowers from around the world, covering, with other displays, about six acres.

Where is it?

Barcroft Hall, near the picturesque village of South Petherton in Somerset. Just off the A303 and west of Yeovil.

How much is it?

Donations for local charities.

Why is it recommended?

Recommended for a peaceful, beautiful and inspiring outing; an opportunity to see gorgeous wildflowers in a rural setting. My mother and I visited one afternoon and it was heavenly.

Extra information

Hugely appealing for all ages. There are wonderful butterflies and birds. Three local walks start and finish at the Field of Dreams; download the maps of the walks and picnic areas.

Barcroft Hall request you email first to register your trip.

This looks absolutely lovely - so peaceful. it just makes you want to go there and have a picnic. Probably not allowed in the field of dreams - just no harm in dreaming!! I would like to go to Somerset anyway so it would be getting two bird with one stone.;
